It’s been a really long time since I’ve posted, as you can see.  Just wanted to give you a heads up that my appearances around blog land will be sporadic over the next few months.  We have a TON going on as most of you know, but also, my desk needed to be dismantled because the entire top piece split in half.  They don’t make ‘em like they used to, especially in meh-hee-co, LOL!

I will be saving up for a new desk, one that’s made in the USA, pretty soon, but in the mean time, we are rearranging the house a bit and I need to figure out where I’m going to put everything.  Due to this, most of my crafty happiness is set aside in boxes and it’s just been too difficult to pull out what I need when I need it.    Sorry if you’ve missed me- I’m thinking you have plenty of other beautiful blogs to visit but in case you were wondering, that’s what’s up

I do have a VeRvE card I’d like to share today though, because GOOD THINGS are about   to happen!  This was some of my absolute FAVORITE paper- I bought it years ago at Archiver’s and I had been hoarding it!

The good thing about cleaning out my desk when it broke is that I found all kinds of goodies and scraps…including this paper <3

The stamp set used is one of my favorite sentiment sets, “Brighter Days”.  I’m not sure if it’s the scripty font or the beautiful verses, probably both, but it’s definitely in my top 3!

I’m so excited to be back to monthly releases, aren’t you?!  We are going BIG in May with THREE new dies, a new “BIG Time” Anya set, and another Anya that you are definitely going to want as part of your May ‘harvest’ of goodies!

First up, we have ANYA STROLLS, a 4×6 set including a BIG TIME Anya and 2 sentiments, and our new “TGF GATE” Die!  Both make for a beautiful spring scene as you’ll see here:

Isn’t she darling?  I love her little dog, too…and that sentiment just might be my favorite part!  :)

I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged- busy doesn’t even scratch the surface!  I have a quick card to share from one of my favorite Verve Stamps sets, “Brighter Days”.  I love the scripted sentiment and think it looks so pretty w the flowers lined around it.

This card is going to a friend who doesn’t even know how much she brightens my day when I’m feeling frazzled.  While I definitely don’t have much to be “down” about, and I praise God for that, we all have stresses and when I do, she’s right there to make me laugh or distract me with coffee or lunch.  :)

I also used the sentiment from the “Small Phrases” set, “you are loved.”  If you don’t have this set, seriously, go, run!  I use it again and again and I’m sure you will, too!  The paper is from the My Mind’s Eye “Mother” stack which is almost a year old but I’ve barely touched it, so it was time

This month we’re also saying a fond farewell to Jen del Muro, as this is her last hop as a Verve Diva. She’s been a part of the Verve team almost from the very beginning and although we’re sad to see her go, we’re so excited to see the things she has up her sleeve for the stamping world!  Glad I got to work with her for a few weeks, anyway!  ;)  Speaking of our Jen, if you’re just getting here from her blog, you’re in the right place!   If you’d like, head to the VERVE BLOG to begin the hop there.

This month, I have a card super close to my heart.  At the beginning of this week, I found out that a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer.   I am absolutely floored not only by her strength and positive attitude, but by the power of prayer and God’s GRACE.   Within the week, we have since found out that it hasn’t spread to her lymph nodes which is great news and I praise my Lord Jesus and Heavenly Father for this.   Her faith has always been a true testament to everyone who knows her, and since I see this person 4 days a week on average, I can tell you without a doubt, her resilience and faith have astounded me.   Talking to her today and hearing about how all is falling into place for her in the past 4 days- whether it’s meals, a nurse for her during  treatment, a great doctor referral, just all of it makes me believe more than ever that God’s grace is so much bigger than what I could ever deserve, but I am so, so happy that she has this attitude and is receiving those mercies and GRACE.   This card is for her:

I used the flowers from my fave BRIGHTER DAYS set, and the Grace plain Jane was PERFECT for this!  The paper is My Mind’s Eye, cardstock is Stampin’ up.

As many of you may have noticed, I’ve gotten away from sharing personal stories so much on my blog.  While I have my reasons for this (and hey, if you’re my facebook friend, you’re probably getting your fill, haha!), I thought this was important enough to share and to give the GLORY to God for his good graces!  Please continue to lift my sweet friend- a friend to MANY who is loved beyond words- up in prayer in the weeks ahead.   God is hearing them and working GREAT things for her and I am forever grateful for this!

I wanted to post a card I made yesterday using one of my all-time favorite Verve stamp sets, “Brighter Days”.  I absolutely LOVE the script-y, swirly font in this set and the sentiments are awesome for all occasions.  Beautiful verses and whenever I’m looking for a card for a friend, whether it be encouragement, thinking of you, etc, I always turn to this one first.

I have had this one Prima flower left for a while and as soon as I pulled it out of my embellishments I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  Don’t you LOVE when a card comes together that easily in your head?  Haha, I totally do

The paper is My Mind’s Eye and cardstock is Stampin Up in Crumb Cake and my fave, Pool Party.   I hope you all have a beautiful Easter Weekend and I’ll see you back Monday!

Today is day #2 of April stamp previews at The Greeting Farm and I’m up today with “Queen Bean”!   Are you guessing a trend?  If so, you’re right! There’s not just ONE Limited Edition stamp in Wonderland this month if you get my drift

Today, myself and a few more fabulous DT members are introducing you to this super cute  queen who seems a little less mean than our traditional queen of  hearts.  She definitely stole mine right out of the box….or should I say, package!  Here’s a few samples I made using her and the new “DELICATE WORDS” Die set…a set of 3 word dies coming to you April 1st as well!
